Position Overview:
A leading banking industry company is seeking a Bilingual IT Project Coordinator in Tokyo to support IT infrastructure projects and collaborate with stakeholders both in the U.S. and Japan. This role requires 5-10 years of IT project management experience, with some exposure to IT infrastructure projects. Fluency in both English and Japanese is essential. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing cross-border projects in a dynamic environment.
What will you do:
- Project Management: Lead and support IT infrastructure projects, ensuring successful planning, execution, and completion.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a bridge between U.S. and Japan-based teams, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
- Project execution: Work with stakeholders in clinet’s Tokyo office to complete project tasks
- Bilingual Communication: Translate technical and business requirements between English and Japanese-speaking teams.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear project documentation in both English and Japanese.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Fluency in both English and Japanese (spoken and written).
- 5-10 years of IT project management experience, preferably in financial services or banking.
- Experience in IT infrastructure projects, in areas such as networking, VCS, storage and OS.
- Strong ability to work across global teams and time zones, with responsibilities involving collaboration with both US and Japan teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP or other project management certifications are a plus.
- Ability to work hybrid (Tokyo) with 2 days onsite per week.
